An elder is a man who meets the requirements of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9. He helps lead the congregation by teaching the Word, prays for the sheep (James 5:14), and oversees the affairs of the church (1 Peter 5:2).

Christ, the Chief Shepherd, desires to care for His flock through a group of godly men who together teach, protect, guide, care for, and love the sheep. As a local church, we follow pastoral leadership and seek out men who are already doing the work of an elder to appoint them to the ministry.
